The Darwin DNA

This is where genetics meets Darwin, and some of the reasons why Darwin should be considered as one of the top underwriters in the industry. I know all of you deal with good underwriters and insurers on a daily basis. Like 99.9%1 of every other living person, underwriters are comprised of the same genetic “code.”

That’s the reality of DNA. This code is remarkable in that such a tiny difference—0.1% of it—determines success or failure, disease or immunity. 0.1% of the code produces extraordinarily different results.

Where one company may rise to surpass expectations another may crumble, and it’s the result of one, perhaps inconsequential detail, that separates the two. It really boils down to survival or extinction. Darwin is set, not just on survival, but on being a dominant specialty lines underwriter. We’ve assembled an incredibly talented group of people to lead that effort.

Like 99.9% of other specialty lines insurers, Darwin can deliver capacity, rating strength, coverage, claims management expertise, risk management solutions, and so on. The difference though, lies in the details of how and why and when. Perhaps one instance requires speed; another requires tenacity; and a third requires some truly creative underwriting. When it matters, Darwin can deliver. You can rely on it. At Darwin, the success of our clients, and of our company, rests in the details. And these details are what the people at Darwin are committed to understanding.

Not until you begin to tap into Darwin’s DNA will you realize the importance of what a focused group of people can deliver for you and your clients—whether it’s a Fortune 50 publicly traded company, a well-managed, well-respected health care institution, or a small private venture that just completed its first infusion of capital. We're adept at underwriting traditional and main stream accounts, yet we have the talent to address difficult-to-place risks across multiple niches.

There’s no way we can prove just how good we can be if you don’t challenge us to prove it.
