Since this time one year ago, we’ve doubled the number of staff (to support gross premium written that has quadrupled since November 2003). The following individuals have recently joined Darwin's ranks:

Todd Biondo as director of medical malpractice and related claims with 15 years of experience in the health care industry. Todd joins us from CNA HealthPro.
Linnet Carty as a bilingual errors and omissions underwriter. Linnet joins us from a Hartford-area non-profit organization.
Shannon Davis as a programmer in Darwin's information technology group. Shannon joins Darwin after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania.

Charlie Delaney, RPLU as AVP and senior underwriter in Darwin's commercial D&O unit. Charlie joins Darwin from Travelers Bond Executive Liability Group.
Sheri Ginden as executive assistant to Stephen Sills with a background in corporate communications consulting.
Michelle Girardin joins Darwin's errors and omissions underwriting team with 8 years of underwriting experience. Michelle comes to Darwin from Chubb.
Steffanie Goldsmith, CPCU as AVP distribution technology to lead Darwin's i.bind technology initiative. Steffanie joins Darwin from The Hartford.

Manny Karimian joins Darwin's finance and accounting division to oversee Darwin's billing and accounts receivable areas. Manny joins Darwin from Transamerica Technology Finance Corporation.
Brian Linda joins Darwin's health care underwriting division as a health care management liability underwriter. Brian joins us from Travelers.
Laura Martinez, BSN, MS, CPHRM, joins Darwin as AVP, risk management and client services with more than 26 years of clinical experience. Most recently, Laura was with Chubb.

Lynn Olejarz as a senior analyst in Darwin's information technology group. Lynn joins Darwin from Chubb.
Laura Reisner as claims assistant for Darwin's claims division. Laura joins us from outside of the insurance industry.
Kristen Stefanowich joins Darwin's finance and accounting group to oversee GAAP financial reporting. Most recently, Kristen worked for KPMG.

Katherine Tryon joins Darwin as an LPL underwriter. Most recently, she was an underwriter at Gulf Insurance Group.
Gerry Vaughn joins Darwin's finance and accounting division as a senior accountant, financial reporting.
Kristin Walsh joins Darwin's distribution management team to oversee Darwin's i.bind initiatives. Kristin joins us from Chubb.
Kerri Lee West joins Darwin's operations area as an underwriting assistant. Prior to joining Darwin, Kerri was with Tennant Risk Services.
